يَكْفِيكَ مِنْهُ إِنْ قَنَعْتَ بِذاكَا

يَكْفِيكَ مِنْهُ إِنْ قَنَعْتَ بِذاكَا

في السُّقْمِ ما صَنَعَتْ بِهِ عَيْناكَا

في السُّقْمِ ما صَنَعَتْ بِهِ عَيْناكَا

From him, if you are content with that, this is enough for you:

It suffices you, if you are content with that,

The sickness your eyes have brought upon him.

In sickness, what your eyes have done.

يا حَسْبَ سُؤْلِ النَّفْسِ يا أَعْلى المُنى

يا حَسْبَ سُؤْلِ النَّفْسِ يا أَعْلى المُنى

طُوبى لِعَيْنٍ في المَنَامِ تَرَاكَا

طُوبى لِعَيْنٍ في المَنَامِ تَرَاكَا

O fulfillment of the soul's desire, O loftiest of wishes!

O fulfillment of the soul's request, O highest of wishes,

Blessed is an eye that sees you in a dream.

Blessed are the eyes that see you in a dream.

انْظُرْ فُؤاداً أَنْتَ فِيهِ مُصَوَّرٌ

انْظُرْ فُؤاداً أَنْتَ فِيهِ مُصَوَّرٌ

هَلْ فِيهِ يا نُورَ العُيُونِ سِوَاكَا

هَلْ فِيهِ يا نُورَ العُيُونِ سِوَاكَا

Behold a heart in which you are portrayed.

Look at a heart in which you are depicted -

Is there anyone in it besides you, O light of the eyes?

Is there, O light of eyes, any but you?

بي مِنْكَ ما لَيْسَتْ تُحَدُّ صِفَاتُهُ

بي مِنْكَ ما لَيْسَتْ تُحَدُّ صِفَاتُهُ

حَاشاكَ أَنْ تُبْلى بِهِ حَاشاكَ

حَاشاكَ أَنْ تُبْلى بِهِ حَاشاكَ

Within me, because of you, is something whose qualities cannot be defined.

In me is that which qualities do not limit,

May you be spared being afflicted with it—may you be spared!

You are far above being wearied by it, far above.
