بِاللَهِ يا سَطواتِ هَجْرِه

بِاللَهِ يا سَطواتِ هَجْرِه

لاَ تَعْجَلي بِحُلُولِ ضُرِّهْ

لاَ تَعْجَلي بِحُلُولِ ضُرِّهْ

By God, O assaults of his abandonment,

By Allah, O distance of separation from him

Do not hasten the onset of its harm.

Do not hasten the coming of his pain

لَوْ قال لي مُتْ طاعَةً

لَوْ قال لي مُتْ طاعَةً

مَا عِشْتُ بَعْدَ سَماعِ أَمْرِهْ

مَا عِشْتُ بَعْدَ سَماعِ أَمْرِهْ

If he told me, 'Die,' then, in obedience,

If he were to say to me "Die in obedience"

I would not live beyond hearing his command.

I would not live after hearing his command
