وَهَيْفاءَ مِنْ نُدَماءِ المُلو

وَهَيْفاءَ مِنْ نُدَماءِ المُلو

كِ صَفْراءَ كالعاشِقِ المُدْنَفِ

كِ صَفْراءَ كالعاشِقِ المُدْنَفِ

And a slender-waisted one among the boon companions of kings,

yellow as a lover wasting away.

تَكِيدُ الظَّلامَ كَما كادَها

تَكِيدُ الظَّلامَ كَما كادَها

فَتَفْنى وتُفْنِيهِ في مَوْقِفِ

فَتَفْنى وتُفْنِيهِ في مَوْقِفِ

She plots against the darkness as it plotted against her,

so she perishes and makes it perish in one encounter.
