Is it because of traces at the upper end of the valley bend of Sharib
From the patterns at the top of an old palm tree being tapped for wine
that your tears have overflowed over your cheek like water?
Your tears flowed over your cheek like the flowing sap
لاnot يَظعَنونَthey set out عَلىon عَمياءَa blind course إِنif ظَعَنواthey set out

وَلا يُطيلونَ إِخماداً عَنِ السُرَبِ
They do not set out on a blind course when they set out,
They cannot overpower the blind even if they try overpowering
nor do they long remain inactive, away from the bands of horsemen.
Nor can they prolong the quenching of their thirst at the cistern
