تَyou (ending completing the preceding verb) فيناamong us دائِماًalways أَبَداforever

O our sincere protector, may you remain
You advise me well
among us always, forever.
You stay with me always forever
تَحُثُّyou spur إِلىtoward العُلىthe heights قَدَماًa foot
وَتَبسُطُand you extend بِالنَوالِwith bounty يَداa hand
You spur a foot toward the heights,
You urge my feet upward
and extend a hand in bounty.
And extend to me a generous hand
لَئِنeven if حَرَّقتَنيyou scorched me عَذلاًwith reproach
لَقَدindeed نَوَّهتَyou spoke highly بيof me صُعُداupward
Though you have scorched me with reproach,
If you have chastened me strictly
you have indeed raised my renown on high.
You have inspired me to climb high
فَطُلتُso I towered above الأَطوَلينَthe tallest عُلىًin eminence
وَفُتَّand you outstripped الأَبعَدينَthe farthest مَدىin reach
So I towered above the tallest in eminence,
So I grew to the tallest stature
and you outstripped the farthest in reach.
And excelled the farthest in range

It is for me to come by night to your watering-place;
Your fresh roses are upon me
but whether I reach its water to drink is not up to me.
But I need not pay them back
