أَصبَحتُ لا أَرجو وَلا أَبتَغي

أَصبَحتُ لا أَرجو وَلا أَبتَغي

فَضلاً وَلي فَضلٌ هُوَ الفَضلُ

فَضلاً وَلي فَضلٌ هُوَ الفَضلُ

I now neither hope for nor seek

I aspire or desire no merit, though merit be mine,

distinction, for mine is true distinction.

The sole merit is His, for merit is His alone.

جَدّي نَبِيٌّ وَإِمامي أَبي

جَدّي نَبِيٌّ وَإِمامي أَبي

وَرايَتي التَوحيدُ وَالعَدلُ

وَرايَتي التَوحيدُ وَالعَدلُ

My grandfather is a prophet, and my imam is my father;

My grandsire a Prophet and my sire is Guide supreme,

and my banner is divine unity and justice.

My flag is Monotheism and Justice is my creed.
