    قِراعُ المُطالِبِ لِلطالِبِ

    And a man bright as a blade, among whose concerns

    Is contending with the claimant on the petitioner's behalf;

    Whose hands are friendly in bestowing bounty

    When the giver's palm grows bashful.

    A youth whose character glory perfected,

    Thus barring the passes to the faultfinder.

    He called, and you obeyed, and the call was

    To glory and enduring honor.

    And in rising to the like of it, you were

    Heavier than a wood-gatherer's shoulders.
