كَريمٌ لَهُ يَومانِ قَد كَفِلا لَهُ

كَريمٌ لَهُ يَومانِ قَد كَفِلا لَهُ

بِنَيلِ العُلى مِن بَأسِهِ وَسَخائِهِ

بِنَيلِ العُلى مِن بَأسِهِ وَسَخائِهِ

A noble man has two days that have secured for him

Generous is he, who has two days to ensure

the attainment of glory through his valor and generosity:

His lofty aims with might and munificence

فَيَومُ نِزالٍ مُشمِسٌ مِن سُيوفِهِ

فَيَومُ نِزالٍ مُشمِسٌ مِن سُيوفِهِ

وَيَومُ نَوالٍ ماطِرٌ مِن عَطائِهِ

وَيَومُ نَوالٍ ماطِرٌ مِن عَطائِهِ

thus, a day of combat is sunlit by his swords,

A sunny day of battle with swords ablaze

and a day of bounty rains with his gifts.
