1. دَولَةٌ تَطلُبُ الفِرا

    رَ وَمَجدٌ مُحَلِّقُ

    A dynasty seeking flight,

    and glory soaring high.

  2. هُوَ يَأسٌ مُكَذِّبٌ

    وَرَجاءٌ مُصَدِّقُ

    It is despair that denies,

    and hope that affirms.

  3. قَد بَنَيتُم فَشَيِّدوا

    وَغَرَستُم فَأَورِقوا

    You have built, so build high;

    and you have planted, so put forth leaves.
