O you two camel-drivers, urge on the pale camels,
O two companions, urge on the camel train
Bearing suns from among the maidens,
Bearing suns of maidens

Shooting piercing arrows,
Shooting arrows penetrating
Dealing death, with wounds that cannot be healed.
Their deadly glances cannot be appeased

They made tears flow down the cheeks;
They shed tears in their cheeks
The day they bade us farewell, those tears flowed as souls.
The day we bid them farewell, saying goodbye to souls

Each slender-waisted maiden, like a straightened spear in stature,
Every beauty is like a ripe, reddish date
Her glance like a spearhead in fierceness and woe.
Her glance like flashing teeth, kissing and embracing

Enchantresses who defeat whoever practices sorcery,
Sorceresses chanting whoever was bewitched
As Moses thwarted Pharaoh's guile.
Like Moses turned back Pharaoh's sorcery

O my drinking companion, rise and pour me the vine's daughter,
My friend, rise and serve me a daughter of the Vine
Driving away humbled care and lingering grief.
Dispelling cares bowed down and vanquished

Do not heed whoever reproaches you over it, for pleasure
Heed not him who blames her, for what is delight
Is nothing but drinking aged wine.
Except to drink the juice of the grapevine?

And from it unveil a bride before the drinking companions;
And marry off to the repentant a bride
How lovely the wine, a bride within the glass!
Whose scent rejoices in the glass, a bride

Nothing seemed to the priest but to voice
Glorification and hallowing to God.
Praise and sanctification to God
