بَدَأْتَ بمَعروفٍ فَأَتْمِمْ لِتجتِلي

أَهِلَّتُهُ في الأُفْقِ وَهْيَ بُدُورُ

You began with kindness; complete it, so that you may behold

its crescent moons on the horizon as full moons.

Its new moon has risen on the horizon, a full moon

وَشيِّدْ بِنَاءَ المَكْرُماتِ وَأَعْلِها

قُصُوراً فما يُعْزَى إليكَ قُصُورُ

And build the edifice of noble deeds, and raise them high

as palaces, so no shortcoming is ascribed to you.
