واشرَبْ هَنيئاً واسقِني يَا نَدِيمْ
Renew your delight with wine long aged;
Renew joy with aged wine,
drink with gladness, and pour for me, O boon companion.
And drink with pleasure, and give me a drink, O drinking companion.

Bring it forth—like the sun, it has risen
And bring it, like the sun that has shone forth
from its cask in the depths of a pitch-dark night.
From its wine jar beneath the cover of a pitch-black night.
فيin رِقَّةِthe delicacy of الماءِthe water وَلكِنْand yet لهاit has

With the limpid delicacy of water—yet it has
As delicate as water, yet it has
the blaze of fire and the coolness of the breeze.
The blaze of fire and the coolness of the breeze.
