O their dwellings, may the bright clouds shower you,
Their dwellings bloomed beneath your clouds, unveiled,
And may the east wind draw a trailing cloud's train across your abode.
As the morning breeze drew forth its trailing robes.

And a night when the hand of night travel had taken me by surprise,
The night pressed me with its hand, in haste,
Though its length had made its stars slow to move.
While the stars slowly crept across the skies.

And remembrance has musk from consorting with slumber,
Remembrance is a balm from the toils of fate -
It settled the heads' pillow atop the camels' withers.
It rests, pillowed, above the dusty graves.

They journeyed by night, seeking wealth for themselves, then turned aside
They set out seeking their songs, and climbed
To Ibn Ali, the ultimate destination of every seeker.
To Ali's son, the summit of all who climb.

We came to know his worth with certainty through experience,
Through trials we know him truly; nothing reveals
And nothing makes things clear like experience.
Things like trials - the touchstone that tries and tells.
