مَوْلايَ فَخْرَ الدِّينِ أَرْسَلْتُها

مَوْلايَ فَخْرَ الدِّينِ أَرْسَلْتُها

أَشكُرُ لِلصَّاحِب فِيها يَدا

أَشكُرُ لِلصَّاحِب فِيها يَدا

My lord Fakhr al-Din, I have sent it;

My Lord Pride of the Faith, I have sent it

in it I thank the Sahib for a helping hand.

I thank the author for his gift

فاقصُدْ بِها عَنيَّ أَبْوابَهُ

فاقصُدْ بِها عَنيَّ أَبْوابَهُ

دَامَتْ مَدَى الدَّهْرِ لنا مَقْصَدا

دَامَتْ مَدَى الدَّهْرِ لنا مَقْصَدا

So go with it on my behalf to his gates;

So carry it to him from me

may they remain our destination for all time.

His doors have remained for us a destination through eternity
