يُكافِيكَ عَنّي إلهُ السَّماءِ

يُكافِيكَ عَنّي إلهُ السَّماءِ

فأَدَّى جَميلُكَ فَوْقَ الثَّناءِ

فأَدَّى جَميلُكَ فَوْقَ الثَّناءِ

May the God of heaven reward you on my behalf,

for your kindness has accomplished more than praise can express.

رأَيْتَ سِراجاً خَبَا نُورُهُ

رأَيْتَ سِراجاً خَبَا نُورُهُ

فَبادَرْتَ إنجادَهُ بِالضّياءِ

فَبادَرْتَ إنجادَهُ بِالضّياءِ

You saw a lamp whose light had faded,

so you hastened to rescue it with light.
