حَاشَى يَداً كَمْ لها في العَالَمِينَ يَدُ

حَاشَى يَداً كَمْ لها في العَالَمِينَ يَدُ

و مِن صَنائِعَ شَتّى مَا لَها عَدَدُ

و مِن صَنائِعَ شَتّى مَا لَها عَدَدُ

May a hand be spared—how many favors it has bestowed upon humankind!

What a hand it is, with endless feats in both worlds,

And varied acts of kindness beyond number!

Of countless skills, none can tally its talents.

وفي الطُّلُوعِ لَهَا فَأْلٌ وَمَا بَرِحَتْ

وفي الطُّلُوعِ لَهَا فَأْلٌ وَمَا بَرِحَتْ

فَوْقَ الغَمَامِ ولم يُدْرَكْ لها أَمَدُ

فَوْقَ الغَمَامِ ولم يُدْرَكْ لها أَمَدُ

And its ascent is auspicious; it has always remained

At daybreak it ascends, achieving the impossible,

above the clouds, and no limit to it has been reached.

Above the clouds, none can gauge its reach.

وَمُذْ شَكَتْ فَأَخُوهَا البَحْرُ مِن فَلَقٍ

وَمُذْ شَكَتْ فَأَخُوهَا البَحْرُ مِن فَلَقٍ

يَلُوحُ قَبْلَ أَبِيبٍ فَوْقَهُ الزَّبَدُ

يَلُوحُ قَبْلَ أَبِيبٍ فَوْقَهُ الزَّبَدُ

And since it ailed, its brother, the sea, from daybreak,

Since it split the sea, its brother, with a cleave,

has foam gleaming upon it before Abib.

Foam froths forth, crests waving above.

زَيْدٌ تَشَرَّفَ مِنكُمْ بِالجِوارِ عُلاً

زَيْدٌ تَشَرَّفَ مِنكُمْ بِالجِوارِ عُلاً

قَدْراً وَهذا قِياسٌ رَاحَ يَطَّرِدُ

قَدْراً وَهذا قِياسٌ رَاحَ يَطَّرِدُ

Zayd gained honor through being your neighbor, exalted

With you as neighbors, Zeid's status was raised,

in rank; and this is an analogy that has come to hold consistently.
