إذا ثَبتَتْ بَيِنَ القُلُوبِ مَوَدَّةٌ

إذا ثَبتَتْ بَيِنَ القُلُوبِ مَوَدَّةٌ

فَلا تَخْشَ مِن نَقْضٍ بِنَقْلِ الحَواسدِ

فَلا تَخْشَ مِن نَقْضٍ بِنَقْلِ الحَواسدِ

If affection is firmly established between hearts,

If affection is established between hearts,

then fear no breach through the talebearing of the envious.

Then do not fear its breaking from the envious.

وَمَا حَاجَةٌ أُدْلي إليكُ بِحُجَّةٍ

وَمَا حَاجَةٌ أُدْلي إليكُ بِحُجَّةٍ

وَقَلبُكَ لِلوَرَّاقِ أَعْدَلُ شَاهِدِ

وَقَلبُكَ لِلوَرَّاقِ أَعْدَلُ شَاهِدِ

And what need have I to offer you proof,

I have no need to give you proof,

when your heart is the fairest witness for al-Warraq?

For your heart is the most just witness.
