مُنِيّتُهاI was promised it مَنزلةًa dwelling قدalready عَلَتْrose high
مُنِيّتُها مَنزلةً قد عَلَتْ
وَانحَطَّand sank عَنهاbeneath it الفَلَكُthe celestial sphere السَّابِعُthe seventh
وَانحَطَّ عَنها الفَلَكُ السَّابِعُ
I was promised it—a dwelling risen high,
And the seventh celestial sphere sank beneath it.
طَالِعُهاits ascendant أَسْعَدُthe most fortunate شَيءٍthing يُرَىis seen
طَالِعُها أَسْعَدُ شَيءٍ يُرَى
وَأَنتَand you فِيهاwithin it ذلكَthat الطَّالِعُascendant
وَأَنتَ فِيها ذلكَ الطَّالِعُ
Its ascendant is the most fortunate thing seen,
And you, within it, are that ascendant.
