يُمَيِّلُ عنَّا وَجْهَهُ وَهْوَ مُقْبِلُ
I invoke protection for Kamal al-Din from the harm of any calamity—
I seek protection for Kamal al-Din from the evil of a calamity
one that turns its face away from us even as it approaches.
That turns his face away from us while he is approaching.

We would ransom him with moons, for they befit his description;
And we ransom him with the moons, for through his epithet
and through his father’s name, they grow round and become full.
And his father's name they grow round and become full.
