He kisses your palm as one seeks the bounty of clouds.
Your hand I kiss like the flash of a cloud
So bring relief with your rain to my dwelling and courtyards.
So rescue my home with your rescuing help

أَكَلَ الصِّيامُ بِها أَعَزَّ ثِيابي
And look upon me, for I am in hardship,
And look at me, for I am in distress
In which fasting has devoured my most prized clothes.
Fasting has eaten my dearest clothes
