خَلَطْتُمُ الجَوْهَرَ بالجَوْهَرِ

خَلَطْتُمُ الجَوْهَرَ بالجَوْهَرِ

وَشِبْتُمُ العَنْبَرَ بالعَنْبَرِ

وَشِبْتُمُ العَنْبَرَ بالعَنْبَرِ

You have mingled gem with gem,

You have mixed gem with gem

And blended ambergris with ambergris.

And ambergris with ambergris

أمْلَكْتُمُ أربعةً اربعاً

أمْلَكْتُمُ أربعةً اربعاً

وطالعُ الإِملاكِ بالمشتري

وطالعُ الإِملاكِ بالمشتري

You have married four men to four women,

You have owned forty by forty

And the marriage's ascendant is with Jupiter.

And the rising of ownership is with the buyer

نثرتمُ المالَ ومثلُ الذي

نثرتمُ المالَ ومثلُ الذي

نثرتمُ في الأرضِ لم يُنْثَر

نثرتمُ في الأرضِ لم يُنْثَر

You scattered wealth, and the like of what

You have scattered money, and that

You scattered on earth has never been scattered:

Which you have scattered on earth was not scattered

دراهماً زُهْراً حَكَتْ أنجماً

دراهماً زُهْراً حَكَتْ أنجماً

زهراً خلالَ المجلس الأزهر

زهراً خلالَ المجلس الأزهر

Bright dirhams that resembled stars,

Dirhams and flowers have traced stars

Bright amid the radiant gathering.

Flowers amidst the most flourishing gathering

أبا علي وأبا القاسِم ال

أبا علي وأبا القاسِم ال

فذَّيْنِ في المَنْظَرِ والمَخْبَر

فذَّيْنِ في المَنْظَرِ والمَخْبَر

O Abu Ali and Abu al-Qasim, the

Abu Ali and Abu Al Qasim

Two peerless men in appearance and inner character,

Two most excellent in appearance and experience

يا قُطُبَيْ آلِ الإمامِ الأولى

يا قُطُبَيْ آلِ الإمامِ الأولى

هُمْ فَلَكُ البادين والحضَّر

هُمْ فَلَكُ البادين والحضَّر

O two poles of the Imam's family, who

O two poles of the Imam's family

Are the celestial sphere of nomads and townsfolk,

They are the axis of nomads and settled folk

دامتْ لنا نِعْمَتُنا فيكما

دامتْ لنا نِعْمَتُنا فيكما

وَدُمْتُما فيها إلى المَحْشَر

وَدُمْتُما فيها إلى المَحْشَر

May our blessing in you both endure for us,

May our bounty in you last

And may you both abide in it until the Gathering.

And may you last in it until the Day of Assembly
