Never have we seen double-flowered narcissi

In greater profusion than this at any gathering.

Rather, we have seen no narcissus to match it—

None lovelier to the eyes and souls.

White and yellow above the green of the

Branches that mirror the green of fine silk.

Moonlit and sunlit in our midst—

O wonder at the moonlit, sunlit bloom!

Like the mingling of water with wine at

The first moment it is mixed in the cups.
