الجوُّthe air بينbetween مُضمَّخٍperfume-steeped ومُضرَّجِand crimson-tinged
والروضُand the garden بينbetween مزخرفٍornamented ومبدَّجand embroidered
The air is both perfume-steeped and crimson-tinged,
The air is drenched and stained,
And the garden is both ornamented and embroidered.
The garden amidst ornament and decoration.
والثلجُand the snow يهطلُfalls in showers كالنثارlike confetti فقمso rise بناwith us
نلتذُّwe take pleasure بإبنةin the daughter of كرمةٍa vine لمnot تمزجbe mixed
And snow falls like confetti—rise with us;
The snow falls like scattered pearls, so let us
Let us delight in the vine’s daughter, unmixed.
Delight in an unblemished daughter of generosity.
ضحكlaughed النهارُthe day وبانَand appeared حسنُbeauty شقائقٍanemones
وزهتْand shone غصونُboughs الوردِthe roses بينamong بنفسجviolets
The day laughed, and the anemones’ beauty appeared,
The day laughed and the beauty of anemones appeared,
And rose boughs shone among violets.
The rose branches blossomed among violets.
فكأنَّso it is as though يومَكَyour day منof غلائلِfine robes فضّةٍsilver
والنورُand the light منof ذهبٍgold علىupon فَيْروزجturquoise
So your day seems made of silver robes,
It is as though your day were made of strands of silver,
And the light is gold upon turquoise.
And the light were of gold upon turquoise.
