Tame gazelles like the gazelles of the wild,
The friend of gazelles, like the wild gazelles,
And rain's tint like modesty's blush;
And lively youth, like the liveliness of the bashful,

صفاءpurity الهوىlove فيin صفاءclarity الهواءthe air
And a day crowned with suns
And the day it crowns him with suns,
By love's purity amid the clarity of the air:
The purity of love in the purity of the air,
فشمْسُso the sun الجنانthe gardens وشمسand the sun الدنانْthe wine jars

The sun of gardens, then, and the sun of wine jars,
For the sun of heavens and the sun of the two worlds,
And the sun of singing girls and the sun of the sky.
And the sun of existence and the sun of the sky,

And a dark cloud scatters from its drizzle
Overflowing, scattering from its rising
Pearls of water upon the pearls of its blossoms.
Onto the pearls of its light, a string of water,

And the rush of its east wind has begun to stir up
And the galloping of its youth in the morning stirs up
A dust cloud of its camphor in the open air.
The bustling of its camphor in the open space,

The birds remain busy there,
The birds continue to be busy with its shade,
Exchanging varied strains of song within it.
Sporting in it the turns of melody,

They delight you with their voices, without a lute,
It pleases you with sound without lute,
And enrapture you with piping, without a flute.
And pours on you music without flute,
فقمso rise نشتملْlet us wrap ourselves برداءِin the robe of الزمانِTime
فإنfor indeed الزمانَTime أنيقُelegant الرداءthe robe
So rise; let us wrap ourselves in Time's robe,
So rise, we don our gown of time,
For Time is elegantly robed.
For time is most graceful of gowns.
