I went in the morning to greet the gardens’ blossoms,
I went out at dawn into the garden of meadows
And they had unveiled radiant faces there.
When the unveiled faces in it had already set out on a journey

إذا ما تغَشَّتْ صفرةُ الشمس أصفره
Among all I saw, nothing matched the wallflower,
I did not see anyone there as virtuous as my friend
When the sun’s yellow glow overspread its yellow bloom,
When the yellowness of the sun donned its yellow mantle

And its tips had become clothed in beads
And its edges were clothed in what was pleasing
Of dew, making them resemble the ends of bracelets.
Of dew, resembling the fringes of his bracelets
