And a clever woman whom cleverness has schooled—

The garden's adornments are borrowed from her face.

A princess of beauty—whenever she appears,

    The prince acknowledges her sovereignty.

She came wearing her green garment,

Like a sprig of myrtle upon a pomegranate blossom.

So I said to her, "What is this garment called?"

She replied with a witty turn of phrase:

"We have split some people's gallbladders with it,

    So we call it 'Gallbladder-Splitting.'"
