ضرطةٌ أقبلتْ على إِثر ضرطهْ

ضرطةٌ أقبلتْ على إِثر ضرطهْ

هذه رجفَةٌ وهتيكَ سَخْطَهْ

هذه رجفَةٌ وهتيكَ سَخْطَهْ

A fart came on the heels of another fart.

A fart came in the wake of his fart

This one is a tremor, and that one an outburst of wrath.

This is a tremor and rage of his wrath

سمع الناسُ صوتها من أبي الفت

سمع الناسُ صوتها من أبي الفت

ح فقالوا مِنْ شدَّةِ الرُّعبِ حِطَّه

ح فقالوا مِنْ شدَّةِ الرُّعبِ حِطَّه

The people heard its sound from Abu al-Fath,

People heard its sound from Abi Al-Fat'h

so in sheer terror they said, “Forgiveness!”

So they said, from the intensity of fear, lower it
