لِتَهجَعَ وَاِستَبقَيتُها ثُمَّ قَلَّصَت

لِتَهجَعَ وَاِستَبقَيتُها ثُمَّ قَلَّصَت

بِسُمرٍ خِفافِ الوِطءِ وارِيَةِ المُخِّ

So that she might sleep, I spared her; then she sped on

I put her to bed though she still resisted

on brown legs, light of tread and full of marrow.
