The joy of souls spread over land and sea,

At the wedding of Amin Allah, possessed of glory and pride.

And the horizons grew fragrant with his sweet, wafted scent,

When they breathed from his wedding the finest perfume.

A bridal union that built joy upon hearts,

Throughout time, rising above the eagle's wings.

A union in which a sun and a radiant orb met,

If called a full moon, he was more resplendent than the full moon.

Among the men exalted in every place,

Their faces among people are like the shining stars.

He settled in al-Hadba, until longing arose

For him in the city of al-Zawra, at last.

So he came to it, that it might gain his nearness,

And his lofty resolve and abundant bounty.

So every home within it flourished, and it turned

Toward him with a face whose teeth and mouth smiled.

And the lord vizier then honored him, he who had erased

With his keen swords the filth of error and unbelief.

And lodged him in his city and his neighborhood.

Blessed be such a neighbor, and blessed be such a city!

And he continually bestowed his kindness upon him and settled him

In a dwelling with noble bounds and a lofty palace.

And sought for him to remain cherished and honored,

At his side, and remain with him in high esteem.

So he bestowed upon him, from the treasury of charms, a pearl,

Veiled, rising above the brilliant star.

    فَيا حسن ذاكَ العقد في ذَلِكَ النَحر

    And hung about his throat a necklace of jewels;

And oh, how lovely that necklace upon that throat!

And fitted his hand with the finest ring,

So lovely it was, for pearls are lovely in the sea.

May a wedding filled with glory and eminence gladden you,

And good fortune, in which ease's rising star appeared.

From its flashing light gleamed every dark part

Of time; so through it the faces of time turned white.

And the earth's face grew fertile from his [rain-bearing star], which

Spared us the need for downpours of rain and showers.

And the trees blossomed for joy, just as

The lands stirred in robes of green.

A noble lady of glory, whom joy's herald led as a bride

To you, Amin Allah, O joy of the age.

Rejoice in her; may you be blessed with honor and eminence,

And with bestowing adornments and jewelry, white silver and yellow gold.

For you, a radiant brow broke forth from the realm of beauty,

As the shining morning broke forth from dawn.

And add four, and sum your offering to record the date:

Rejoice, Amin, faithful in deed, in the brilliant star.
