Great were the grace and bounty bestowed upon him.
Exalted be his favor and gifts upon us

عَرَفتهrecognized him قُلوبناour hearts فَلِهَذاso for this reason
عَرَفته قُلوبنا فَلِهَذا

أَيقَنَت أَنَّهُ الرَسول الشَفيع

فَهوَ حصن للنائِبات مَنيع
His forbearing ways have accustomed us to him.
In him accustomed we are to patience and care
For he is an impregnable fortress against calamities.

عَمencompassed كُلall الوَرىcreation نَوالاًwith bounty وَلُطفاًand kindness
عَم كُل الوَرى نَوالاً وَلُطفاً
وَالمناويand the adversary فُؤادهhis heart مَصدوعshattered
وَالمناوي فُؤاده مَصدوع
He encompassed all creation in bounty and kindness.
Bestowing gifts and kindness over all realms
And the adversary's heart is shattered.
His heart ever open, though wounded and torn
عَللوناcomfort us بِذكرهwith remembrance of him وَأعيدواand repeat
عَللونا بِذكره وَأعيدوا
مَدحهhis praise إنَّهُindeed it is الشفاءthe cure السَريعswift
مَدحه إنَّهُ الشفاء السَريع
Comfort us with remembrance of him, and repeat
Curing us with his memory, singing his praises
His praise—for it is the swift cure.
