فَلا يَدعُني قَومي لِسَعدِ بنِ مالِكٍ

فَلا يَدعُني قَومي لِسَعدِ بنِ مالِكٍ

لَئِن أَنا لَم أُسعِر عَلَيهِم وَأُثقبِ

لَئِن أَنا لَم أُسعِر عَلَيهِم وَأُثقبِ

Then let my people not call me a descendant of Saʿd ibn Mālik,

Let not my people leave me for Sa'd ibn Malik

if indeed I do not kindle fire against them and make it blaze.

If I ignite not against them, riddle them with holes
