وفتيةٍ كالسُّيوفِ أحضَرُهُم

لا عاجز فيهم ولا بُخلُ

And youths like swords—I join their company—

And young men like swords I prepare them

No weakling among them, nor any stinginess.

No weakness in them and no miserliness

بيض مساميح في الشتاء وإن

Fair-faced, open-handed in winter, and even if
