Make way for our young camel, for our young camel
Our camel is ready to go free
cleaves the hump of towering al-Akḥal.
He sways proudly with kohl on his eyes so black
هُوَHe القَيلُthe king يَمشيwalks آخِذاًmaking his way along بَطنَthe valley bed of عَرعَرٍʿArʿar

He is the king, walking along the valley bed of ʿArʿar,
Walking steadily, hugging the camel's belly
in his armor, as though wearing trousers.
His leanness makes it seem he's wearing pants
