أَنسى بِذِكرِكَ مِن ناسيكَ أَوحَشَني

أَنسى بِذِكرِكَ مِن ناسيكَ أَوحَشَني

وَفيكَ عايَنتُ فَقدي عَينُ وِجداني

وَفيكَ عايَنتُ فَقدي عَينُ وِجداني

Through remembering you, I forget whoever among those who forget you made me lonely.

In remembering you I'm saddened by those who forget you

And in you I beheld my loss as the very essence of my finding.

And in you I've seen the loss of my heart's delight

فَيا بَقائي لِنَفسي في الفَناءِ بِهِ

فَيا بَقائي لِنَفسي في الفَناءِ بِهِ

أَدَمَ عَلَيَّ فَناءً فيكَ أَبقاني

أَدَمَ عَلَيَّ فَناءً فيكَ أَبقاني

So, O my self's abiding in annihilation through him,

So oh my remaining in myself through annihilation in Him

Sustain for me an annihilation in you that has made me endure.

He granted me annihilation in you that made me last

فَإِنَّني لَم أَجِد نَفذاً لِقَطرِ سَماً

فَإِنَّني لَم أَجِد نَفذاً لِقَطرِ سَماً

صارَت لِأَرضِكَ لَولا صِرتُ سُلطاني

صارَت لِأَرضِكَ لَولا صِرتُ سُلطاني

For I would have found no passage through the expanse of a heaven

For I did not find an outlet for a drop of venom

That came to belong to your earth, had I not become my own sovereign.

That would have gone to your land had I not been its sultan

لِذا عَلى كُلِّ إِنسِيٍّ عَلَوتُ وَدا

لِذا عَلى كُلِّ إِنسِيٍّ عَلَوتُ وَدا

نَت لي بِدينِكَ طَوعاً عُصبَةُ الحاني

نَت لي بِدينِكَ طَوعاً عُصبَةُ الحاني

Thus I rose above every human, and

Thus over every mortal I've risen in affection

The tavern keeper's band willingly submitted to me through your faith.

You've become willingly through your religion my tribesmen against tyranny
