Sol 6.1

  1. بِعِلمِ مَعنى المَعاني

    عَرَفتُ كُلَّ الأَسامي

    Through knowledge of the meaning of meanings,

    I came to know all the names.

  2. وَصِرتُ قِبلَةَ قَومي

    لِلقائِمينَ مَقامي

    And I became my people's qibla,

    for those who stand at my station.

  3. وَفَوقَ تَحتي يَمينِيَ

    اليُسرى وَرَائي أَمامي

    And above is below me; my right

    is the left; behind me is before me.

  4. مَقامَ حَجِّيَ قَصدي

    وَالقَصدُ حَجُّ مَقامي

    My intention takes the place of my pilgrimage,

    and intention is the pilgrimage of my station.

  5. وَفي صِيامي صَلاتي

    وَفي الصَلاةِ صِيامي

    And in my fasting is my prayer,

    and in prayer is my fasting.

  6. وَفي كَلامِيَ صَمتي

    وَالصَمتُ عَينُ كَلامي

    And in my speech is my silence,

    and silence is the very essence of my speech.

  7. وَفي مَنامي اِنتِباهي

    وَبِاِنتِباهي مَنامي

    And in my sleep is my wakefulness,

    and with my wakefulness is my sleep.

  8. وَالبَرُّ بَرّي وَبَحري

    بَحرٌ عَلى البَرِّ طامي

    And the land is my land, and my sea

    is a sea surging over the land.
