أَراني البَعضَ في بَعضي

أَراني البَعضَ في بَعضي

وَكُلَّ الكُلِّ في بَعضِ

وَكُلَّ الكُلِّ في بَعضِ

I see myself as the part within my part,

Some see parts of me in others

and as the entirety of the whole within a part.

And all of everything in parts of me

وَمِن فَوقي تَرى تَحتي

وَمِن فَوقي تَرى تَحتي

وَفي تَحتي سَما أَرضي

وَفي تَحتي سَما أَرضي

And from above me you see what lies beneath me,

Above me you see what lies below

and beneath me is the sky of my earth.

And in what's below, my heavenly sphere

وَفي طولي بَدا عُمقِ

وَفي طولي بَدا عُمقِ

يَ بَينَ الناسِ في عَرضي

يَ بَينَ الناسِ في عَرضي

And in my length appeared the depth of

My depth appears in my length

me, among people, in my breadth.

O people, in my width

وَقَبضُ البَسطِ في بُسطي

وَقَبضُ البَسطِ في بُسطي

وَبُسطُ البَسطِ في قَبضَتي

وَبُسطُ البَسطِ في قَبضَتي

And expansion's contraction lies within my expanses,

Closing and opening in my open palm

and expansion's expanses lie within my grasp.

Opening and closing in my clenched fist

وَلي في العَرشِ جَلَساتٌ

وَلي في العَرشِ جَلَساتٌ

عَلى الخُلُقِ بِها أَقضي

عَلى الخُلُقِ بِها أَقضي

And I have sittings upon the Throne,

I have sessions on the Throne

through which I pass judgment on character.

To rule creation with equity

فَمَسنونُ التُقى مِنّي

فَمَسنونُ التُقى مِنّي

وَمَفروضُ الهُدى فَرضي

وَمَفروضُ الهُدى فَرضي

So the customary observance of piety comes from me,

Piety obligatory from me

and the obligation of guidance is my ordinance.

Guidance imposed as my duty

وَما الكافِرُ إِلّا جا

وَما الكافِرُ إِلّا جا

هِلُ السُنَّةِ في رَفضي

هِلُ السُنَّةِ في رَفضي

And the unbeliever is merely igno-

The unbeliever but ignored

rant of the Sunnah in rejecting me.
