عَرَفتُ الخَلقَ وَالأَمرَ

عَرَفتُ الخَلقَ وَالأَمرَ

وَمَعنى الكُلِّ في الكُلِّ

وَمَعنى الكُلِّ في الكُلِّ

I knew creation and the command,

I knew mankind and command

And the meaning of the whole within the whole.

And the meaning of all in all

فَجَمَّعتُ بِلا وَصلٍ

فَجَمَّعتُ بِلا وَصلٍ

وَفَرَّقتُ بِلا فَصلِ

وَفَرَّقتُ بِلا فَصلِ

So I gathered without joining,

So I gathered without connection

And separated without severing.

And separated without division

فَوَحَّدتُ وَلا تَوحيدٌ

فَوَحَّدتُ وَلا تَوحيدٌ

إِلّا لِفَتىً مِثلي

إِلّا لِفَتىً مِثلي

So I affirmed oneness—and there is no affirmation of oneness

So I unified without true unity
