أَوصاكَ رَبُّكَ بِالتُّقى

أَوصاكَ رَبُّكَ بِالتُّقى

وَأُولوا النّهى أَوصوا مَعَه

وَأُولوا النّهى أَوصوا مَعَه

Your Lord has enjoined piety upon you,

Your Lord has commanded you to be mindful

and those of understanding have enjoined it along with Him.

And those given knowledge exhorted the same

فَاِجعَل لِنُسكِكَ طولَ عم

فَاِجعَل لِنُسكِكَ طولَ عم

رِكَ مَسجِداً أَو صَومَعَه

رِكَ مَسجِداً أَو صَومَعَه

So set aside for your worship, throughout your life-

So make your ritual a lifelong vocation

time, a mosque or a hermitage.

Whether a mosque or a monastic cell
