بِأَنَّthat بَنانيmy fingers مِنfrom أَذىthe pain السُقمِof illness مَرتَعِشtrembling
I wrote, and my handwriting bears witness to the pain of illness,
To the fact that my fingers tremble from illness’s pain.
وَنَفسيand my soul إِنif تَأمُرyou command تَعشit will live فيin سَلامَةٍsafety

And my soul, if you command, will live in safety;
So grant it repose from you—[the closing phrase is unclear as written].
