قَد وَجَدنا الحَبيبَ يَصفى وِداده

قَد وَجَدنا الحَبيبَ يَصفى وِداده

وَحَمِدنا ضَميره وَاِعتِقا

وَحَمِدنا ضَميره وَاِعتِقا

We have indeed found the beloved pure in his affection.

We found the beloved purifying his affection,

And we praised his conscience and [an incomplete word].

And we praised his conscience and integrity.

قَرّب الحُبَّ مِن فُؤادِ مُحِبِّ

قَرّب الحُبَّ مِن فُؤادِ مُحِبِّ

لا يَرى هَجرَهُ وَلا أبع

لا يَرى هَجرَهُ وَلا أبع

Bring love close to a lover’s heart,

Love brought the beloved closer to the lover's heart,

who contemplates neither forsaking him nor [an incomplete word].

He sees not his separation, nor distance.
