يُقاتِل بِاللَحظِ مَحبوبُنا

يُقاتِل بِاللَحظِ مَحبوبُنا

وَبالسَيف وَالرُمح أَمضى قِتالِ

وَبالسَيف وَالرُمح أَمضى قِتالِ

Our beloved fights with a glance,

and with sword and spear wages the most decisive combat.

فَطَوراً يَصيدُ ظِباءَ السِناء

فَطَوراً يَصيدُ ظِباءَ السِناء

وَطَوراً يَصيدُ أُسودَ الرِجالِ

وَطَوراً يَصيدُ أُسودَ الرِجالِ

At times he hunts the gazelles of splendor,

and at times he hunts the lions among men.
