يا كَريمَ المَحَلِّ في كُلِّ معنى

يا كَريمَ المَحَلِّ في كُلِّ معنى

وَالكَريمُ المحلُّ لَيسَ يُعَنّى

وَالكَريمُ المحلُّ لَيسَ يُعَنّى

O you of noble station in every sense,

O noble one in every meaning

And one of noble station is not put to trouble.

The noble place is not what matters

هَذِهِ الخَمرُ تَبتَغيكَ فَخُذها

هَذِهِ الخَمرُ تَبتَغيكَ فَخُذها

أَو فَدَعها أَو كَيفَما شئتَ كُنّا

أَو فَدَعها أَو كَيفَما شئتَ كُنّا

This wine seeks you, so take it,

This wine longs for you, so take it

Or leave it—or however you wish, so shall we be.

Or leave it, however you wish, we are yours
