أبا قاسِمٍ قَد كُنتَ دُنيا صَحِبتها

أبا قاسِمٍ قَد كُنتَ دُنيا صَحِبتها

قَليلاً كَذا الدُنيا قَليل مَتاعُها

قَليلاً كَذا الدُنيا قَليل مَتاعُها

O Abu Qasim, you were indeed a world whose company I kept

O Abul Qasim, you have accompanied the life of this world for a little while,

for a little while; such is this world—its enjoyment is scant.

Thus is the life of this world - little is the enjoyment thereof.
