دارَىhe managed tactfully ثَلاثَتَهُhis three بِلُطفwith subtlety ثَلاثَةٍthree
دارَى ثَلاثَتَهُ بِلُطف ثَلاثَةٍ
فَثَنّىso he diverted بِذاكَby that رَقيبَهُhis watcher لَمdid not يَشعُرِnotice
فَثَنّى بِذاكَ رَقيبَهُ لَم يَشعُرِ
He managed his three with three subtle arts;
Thus he diverted his watcher, who did not notice:
أَسرارَهُhis secrets بِتَسَتُّرthrough concealment وَأَوارهُand his burning heat
أَسرارَهُ بِتَسَتُّر وَأَوارهُ
بِتَصَبُّرٍthrough patient endurance وَخَبالهُand his madness بِتَوَقُّرِthrough dignified composure
بِتَصَبُّرٍ وَخَبالهُ بِتَوَقُّرِ
His secrets through concealment, and his burning heat
Through patient endurance, and his madness through dignified composure.
