وَشَمعَةٌ تَنفي ظَلام الدُجى
نَفيَbanishing يَديmy hand العُدمpoverty عَنfrom الناسِthe people
نَفيَ يَدي العُدم عَن الناسِ
And a candle banishes the darkness of night,
A candle dispels the darkness of night
As my hand banishes poverty from people.

By one whose saliva is more delectable than the cup.
Whose saliva is more delicious than the cup

And its heat from the heat of my breaths.
And its heat from the heat of my breath
