My master who has never ceased

To don the robe of praise,

بِرَكضِ الضُمَّرِ الجردِ
Your servant has an aspiration, enamored
Your servant's spirit soars
of the gallop of lean, sleek steeds.
With the gallop of the bare intent.

And he humbly appeals for one of them
And from it he longs, pleading,
to Your Highness—for the rose-colored steed.
For your lofty meadows.

And if you take him for a servant,
you bestow it upon a servant.
You bestow on a servant favor.
