مَنwhoever يوقَis protected لاnot يُكلَمis wounded وَإِنand even if عَمَدَتmade for لَهُhim
مَن يوقَ لا يُكلَم وَإِن عَمَدَت لَهُ
نَبلٌarrows تُغادِرُleave شَخصَهُhis body كَالقُنفُذِlike a hedgehog
نَبلٌ تُغادِرُ شَخصَهُ كَالقُنفُذِ
Whoever is protected is not wounded, even if he is targeted
by arrows that leave his body like a hedgehog.
بَلَغَتهُreached him مُرهَفَةُsharpened النِصالِthe arrowheads وَأُثبِتَتand were lodged
بَلَغَتهُ مُرهَفَةُ النِصالِ وَأُثبِتَت
فيماin what عَلَيهِwas upon him وَكُلُّهاand all of them لَمdid not تَنفُذِpierce through
فيما عَلَيهِ وَكُلُّها لَم تَنفُذِ
They reached him with sharpened arrowheads and were lodged
in what he wore, and none of them pierced through.
