What is lodged in your nature suffices you,

    without wickedness carrying you further.

How can a transgressor manage to rise

with loads of sin upon him?

How many a palm was planted in the earth,

yet was not destined to grow tall.

Let no naive person rejoice in life,

for it drives one to destruction.

Truth has found no buyers among humankind,

while falsehood has always had a market.
