تَسَتَّرواthey concealed themselves بِأُمورٍwith matters فيin دِيانَتِهِمtheir religion
تَسَتَّروا بِأُمورٍ في دِيانَتِهِم
وَإِنَّماyet only دينُهُمtheir religion دينُreligion الزَناديقِthe heretics
وَإِنَّما دينُهُم دينُ الزَناديقِ
They concealed themselves behind certain tenets of their faith,
They hid behind matters of their religion,
Yet their faith is nothing but the faith of heretics.
Yet their religion is nothing but the religion of heretics.
نُكَذِّبُwe reject as false العَقلَreason فيin تَصديقِbelieving كاذِبِهِمtheir liar
نُكَذِّبُ العَقلَ في تَصديقِ كاذِبِهِم
وَالعَقلُand reason أَولىmore deserving بِإِكرامٍof honor وَتَصديقِand belief
وَالعَقلُ أَولى بِإِكرامٍ وَتَصديقِ
We give reason the lie when we believe their liar,
We reject reason as false in believing their liar,
Though reason is worthier of honor and belief.
Yet reason is more deserving of honor and belief.
