مَحمودُناour praised one اللَهُGod وَالمَسعودُand the fortunate one خائِفُهُone who fears Him

فَعَدِّso turn away عَنfrom ذِكرِmentioning مَحمودٍMahmud وَمَسعودِand Mas‘ud
فَعَدِّ عَن ذِكرِ مَحمودٍ وَمَسعودِ
Our praised one is God; fortunate is the man who fears Him.

Two kings: were I given a choice between their dominion

of my Lord my treasure; death’s watering-place is my promised destination.
